Luca
They say about Luca that “the races organized by the most sadistic race directors are not enough for him, he feels the need to follow his dreams, thinking of real feats that rewrite the barriers of our sport, of Triathlon”.
In 2020 he designs and realizes alone the “Kalavrìa Triathlon Tour”, 3 consecutive days and 3 full distance to travel the 800 km of Calabrian coast (https://youtu.be/B0xV10mRL0c). In 2021 he obtains a degree in Motor and Sports Sciences and presents an experimental thesis entitled “Extreme Triathlon vs IronMan: analysis of the two disciplines”. In 2021 he gives life to the Water Fire Triathlon (WFT) project, Extreme Triathlon competitions with finish lines placed on the tops of volcanoes. He thus achieved a sporting feat alone that is unique in the world, first on ETNA (https://youtu.be/vaaVRCSLul8) and in 2022 on Vesuvius (https://youtu.be/l0qas7rqZMo), he founded the Triathlon sports association X-Sport Green 1.5. In 2024 he completed a Triathlon feat alone that had never been achieved before in the world and was rewarded with various awards, the “Extreme Triathlon Monte Rosa” covering 260 km from Genoa to the highest Alpine refuge in Europe at 4554 m above sea level, Capanna Regina Margherita (https://youtu.be/PsXJNzNl0vc). He has been a guest on radio and television broadcasts, Bike Channel, Mondo Triathlon (https://youtu.be/YkW1k8ULDVA). He collaborates with the University of Magna Graecia as a speaker on the topics of sports tourism and Triathlon and organizes competitions on the national territory.

Sean
Sean is one of Scotland’s most successful ever long-distance triathletes and adventure racers. He works now as a film producer, journalist, sports manager and race advisor. He has worked with a host of races both in the UK and internationally.
Sean has a strong link with Sicily, having first visited in 1993 as part of a university exchange called Erasmus. He later returned to teach English and has been visiting the island ever since. Sean says “I’ve been waiting over 30 years for a race like this to come to Sicily! It’s the perfect stage and the ultimate way to immerse yourself in this most special of places. It promises to be a truly spectacular, epic and memorable event.” Sean will be doing the 2025 full distance WFT and is writing a feature on it for 220 Triathlon magazine.
